Topic: The Process and Value of Test Driven Development (TDD)

Andy Lawrence is going to talk about what TDD is and the value of it to an organization. There will be no code presented here; we're going to explore the benefits and application of TDD. We're going to talk about the goals of TDD (Hint: it's not "testing"), the other things having tests in places enables, how to get started with an existing code base, and what the testing suite typically looks like. Lastly, TDD is not a panacea, so we're going to talk about some of the myths around TDD.

Andy Lawrence from Pillar Technology has over 14 years experience in software development and IT. He's done everything from taking support calls to buying and configuring hardware to designing and implementing the software. His professional interests include software quality and delivering the right software at the right time.
